It is simply unacceptable that we have gone this long without an article about this trailer. This is the concluding film of the “Blood and Ice Cream” trilogy, director Edgar Wright and stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s three films of horrifying violence and Cornetto ice cream. The previous installments in the series, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, are two of the best comedies of the 00′s. So we have reason to be excited for this film. | Full Story
Man, these parodies of Oscar bait movies just get more and more convincing! This fake trailer for The Butler posits a movie based on the real life of Eugene Allen, who served as a butler in the White House for over 30 years, from the 1950′s through the 80′s. Forest Whitaker plays “Cecil Gaines,” Allen’s fictional counterpart, while Oprah (Oprah!) plays his wife.

There are four superhero movies coming out this year. The Wolverine is the one that I keep forgetting is happening. It’s not the movie’s fault… wait, yes it is. Because I mean, good grief, Wolverine has already been the star of four other movies. I tire of this hairy immortal Canadian with metal claws.

This footage from Pacific Rim caused quite a stir when it came out at Wondercon last month. Originally, it was only meant to be presented for those lucky con-goers, but now, Warner Bros has graciously released it online for the whole world to see. Have a looksy. I think it sells the movie even better than any of the trailers up til now.

I really, really wish I’d been able to see this movie at Sundance. David Gordon Green went on the strangest career turnabout ever, taking time off from quiet indie films like All the Real Girls and George Washington to direct Pineapple Express, Your Highness, and (shudder) The Sitter. But now he’s back in indie mode, albeit with some quite un-indie leading men: Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch.

Another trailer has come out for this summer’s sequel to 2010′s “oh yeah that was a movie” RED. Bruce Willie, Helen Mirren, and John Malkovich are back as former spies who continue to kick ass in their old age. Because Hollywood is loath to ever remind us that we age and eventually can’t do certain things anymore.

Monsters University is a prequel for the original Monsters Inc. From Monsters Inc, we learned that Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) had dreams of being a Scarer ever since he was just a little monster. - It’s very nice to see all manner of environs as a setting for the film, after Thor, which was stuck in either greenscreenland or Arizona.

Another trailer has come out for the “timely” Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson-starring comedy The Internship. It mostly covers the same story beats and jokes from the first trailer, with some new stuff mixed in. Now we can ascertain that Wilson’s character will probably have a romance with Rose Byrne’s character. Thrilling!
