Walt Disney Pictures was pretty active Monday morning releasing two main character posters for the upcoming action adventure film The Lone Ranger.

The Studio introduced the main characters to posters via their website. John Reid (Armie Hammer) is described as a man who boards a train home to Colby Texas, ready to practice law with his East Coast degree. He’ known as a stalwart idealist, firmly opposed to the violent ethics of the frontier, where justice is regularly allocated by gunfire. | Full Story

Production Begins for ‘Saving Mr. Banks’

A recent article by The Collider has declared that Saving Mr. Banks, a new drama starring Tom Hanks, has began its initial phase of production.

Saving Mr. Banks will revolve around Walt Disney‘s twenty-year pursuit of the film rights to the novel Mary Poppins by PL Travers. Rumor has it that Travers was more than reluctant to sell the rights as it was immensely personal. It reflected her personal relationships and even the relationship with her father. | Full Story

Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted a photo of Johnny Depp as Tonto and Arnie Hammer in The Lone Ranger. Bruckheimer is producing the Disney film, starring actor Depp as the lead role. Also starring in the movie is Tom Wikinson, William Fichtner, Berry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Carter.

Disney Releases 10-Minute Clip From The Movie ‘John Carter’

Walt Disney Pictures has released a 10-minute video taken right out of the movie John Carter.

The movie follows John Carter, a former military captain, who is transported to Mars where he becomes the center of conflict between the two inhabitants of the planet.  In a world on the brink of destruction, Carter rediscovers his love for life when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rest in his hands.

Taylor Kitsch stars as John Carter in this big screen adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novel.  Also starring is Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, James Purefoy, Samantha Morton, Ciaran Hinds, Mark Strong and Dominic West. | Full Story
