Yesterday, THR posted a story about Kristen Stewart being dropped by Universal for the sequel to Snow White And The Huntsman. Now today, the studio quickly deny THR claims and says that any reports that Stewart has been dropped are completely false.
The studio issued the statement via Co-Chairman Donna Langley saying, “We are extremely proud of Snow White and The Huntsmen and are exploring all options to continue the franchise.”

The Dark Knight Rises falls to the third spot after three weeks at the top.
Taking the top box office spot this week is Universal’s The Bourne Legacy, which is no big surprise. The studio expects it to make $42.2 million this weekend, which it’s perfectly on track to make. Universal Pictures just released a new clip from the latest installment of the Bourne franchise The Bourne Legacy. Jeremy Renner also takes over as Tredstone operator Aaron Cross in the upcoming film. Tony Gilroy has expanded on the Bourne universe that was originally created by Robert Ludlum. The writer/director takes charge of the Bourne franchise, which has become hugely popular, collecting almost $1 billion in the box office.

After months of uncertainty whether Kick Ass 2: Balls To The Wall was every going to go into production, Deadline has just revealed that universal has stepped in to finance the film.
The big question was surrounded around if the original cast will be returning for the second edition. Rumors suggested that Kick Ass lead Aaron Johnson may not return and the production team has lined up possible replacements. Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman hits theaters this weekend. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth. Still, before potential movie goers waste their hard earned cash on movie tickets, salty popcorn, and flat soda – they may want to read what the top movie critics are saying about the film.
The Wrap’s Alonso Duralde said Stewart’s Snow White, “is too reminiscent of her twitchy Twilight character Bella Swann and would have a hard time convincing people to follow her to Forever 21, let alone storm a castle.”
“The screenwriters should have taken a page from the 1997′s film Ever After, in which Drew Barrymore’s Snow actually had a thought in her head and some plausible skill with a sword,” said Jeff Meyers of Metrotimes

From the looks of it, the original assassin Jason Bourne, played by Matt Damon, will be making an appearance in this latest installment to the franchise.

Universal has recently bought the The Disciple Program, a thriller with Mark Wahlberg attached to star in it.
The upcoming film is described as a ‘Manchurian Candidate-style thriller’ where a man investigates the murder of his wife after her strange death.

In Ted, Mark Wahlberg plays an adult man named John, who made a Christmas wish as a little boy for his teddy bear to come to life. After his wish comes true, the two grow an inseparable bond.
