Yahoo reports the filmmaker has received major backlash for giving Kardashian her first major acting gig in his latest film.
Many people believe that the backlash is justified based on Kadashian’s claim to fame as an amateur-porn-star-turned-reality-television-starlight. Perry, however, sees things differently.

Last year, Tyler Perry brokered a deal with Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network to develop a series of programming and other projects for the cable channel. Tyler Perry first two projects which are set to debut on the station are the one-hour drama titled The Haves and the Have Nots and a half-hour comedy series called Love Thy Neighbor, which are both set to air on May 29, 2013.

Back in October, Tyler Perry partnered with Oprah Winfrey’s OWN to develop a series of programming and other projects for the cable channel. A decision that saw the director-actor-screenwriter-producer leave his business home over a TBS to make OWN his TV platform. Was this a good decision for Perry? The Matrix and Terminator franchises lost a major lawsuit and settled out of court for an undisclosed amount, after a woman by the name of Sophia Stewart accused the company of copyright infringement. Stewart claimed they turned down her concepts but made the films without her consent.

Alex Cross’s star Tyler Perry is reportedly in deep discussion with the mastermind behind the Alex Cross novels, James Patterson. The actor/director is negotiating the procurement of Double Cross which is the follow up within the written series.

Tyler Perry is reportedly preparing a new project titled, Single Mom’s Club, a dramedy in which Liongate is slated to distribute.
Single Mom’s Club is based on a group of single mothers from different backgrounds who comes together via an incident at their children’s school. Today, Tyler Perry Studios was the Atlanta firefighters’ destination after there were reports of a fire at the facility. This morning’s fire is the second inferno in the past three months at the studios, which is located on Continental Colony Parkway.
According to Atlanta Journal Constitution:
