A recent article from Collider has claimed Ridley Scott will be taking on television in directing the pilot for The Vatican, a new series set to air on Showtime.

While Ridley Scott has already picked up the Cormac McCarthy written screenplay for The Counselor — casting the likes of Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz and Michael Fassbender along the way –  the seasoned director will first try his hand at television before moving ahead with another feature film. | Full Story

Jack Black is planning on making the paranormal a whole lot funnier. With the help of his production company Electric Dynamite and Shine America, they created a new web comedy show called Ghost Ghirls. Ghost Ghirls, created by Jeremy Konner, Amanada Lund and Maria Blasucci, will star Lund and Blasucci, as two female ghostbusters who try to solve paranormal mysteries with a comedic view.

History Miniseries ‘Hatfields & McCoys’ Ends With Record Ratings

The Hatfields and McCoys had a family feud that proved to be great for TV and the the History channel.

The miniseries about the two warring families shattered basic cable ratings records, according to Nielsen Company figures that History released Thursday. After three nights of clan clashing, Hatfields & McCoys reigned supreme as the top-rated entertainment telecast ever for ad-supported basic cable.

Parts one and two of the post civil war drama were at the top of the ratings charts with 13.9 million and 13.1 million viewers, respectively. | Full Story

Hatfields and McCoys weren’t the only things being shot down last night on the History channel. Records were falling like clay targets at a shooting range when History’s three-part miniseries Hatfields & McCoys broke almost all of them with its first installment on Monday night.
