‘Transformers 4′ To Feature Brand New Robots

According to the Transformers fansite TFW2005.com, the hit robotic franchise promises new characters in its upcoming fourth edition. While recently attending the UBS Best Of Americas 2012 Conference, Hasbro president Brian Goldner discussed the company’s plans for the future surrounding Transformers 4.

The excitement rang throughout the event as Goldner gave his speech and told fans that they can expect brand new robot characters in the new Transformers film. The president also gave an explanation of adding additional robots and mention that the sales of the toys for the third film were somewhat disappointing. | Full Story

Checkout this special effects reel that was posted on Michael Bay’s website. The video below features scenes from Trasformers, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen and Transformers: Dark Moon. There is no denying the amount of impressive work that went into the details of these robotic organisms.

The VFX team included Scott Farrar, Scott Benza, Matthew Butler and John Frazier. Nominated for Best Achievement In Visual Effects for the 2007 Academy awards, the team suffered a surprising lost. | Full Story

Michael Bay To Direct Transformers 4

Michael Bay will direct the upcoming Transformers film. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura confirmed the director’s involvement with the movie.

“Yeah Michael’s gonna direct and it’ll be releasing in the summer of 2014,” said Di Bonaventura. “We’re excited and I think the challenge there is we really are gonna do a reboot, and what that’s gonna be we don’t even know yet.”

Di Bonaventura said that he and Bay were still in the development process, but they wanted to bring a new element to the project. | Full Story
