'Leverage' Canceled After Fifth Season?

Leverage fans may have to depend on re-runs in order to get their fix of the vigilante heist drama. Show producers revealed that this might be the final season of the series.

In preperation to TNT’s decision, Leverage creator Dean Devlin has written a show finale to insert in need be for an ending.

Devlin and co-creator John Rogers alerted fans on the fansite LeverageFans.com, that they’ve decided to end this season with the episode they had planned to make to end the series, just in case TNT declined to renew Leverage for a sixth year. | Full Story

As we told you earlier, Nicholas Spark’s newest movie is Safe Haven starring Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel is set to hit theaters February 8th. For those avid fans who want Sparks drama year round, get ready because the author has not one, but THREE potential new shows for television according to a The Hollywood Reporter.

Sparks is working with TNT to develop a series based on his 1999 novel A Bend In The Road. This series is set in Georgia and centers on the love story of a recently widowed Sheriff and his son’s second grade teacher. | Full Story

Eric Dane To Star In Michael Bay’s New Show ‘The Last Ship’

Less than a week after departure from Grey’s Anatomy, Eric Dane has signed on to the new TNT dramatic action series helmed by Transformers executive producer, Michael Bay.

Per Deadline.com’s latest report, the show is based on William Brinkley’s novel, The Last Ship, about a destroyer crew forced to start a new beginning after learning they are some of the only survivors of a nuclear disaster.  The former bad boy doctor is taking on a whole new role as Tom Chanler, a devoted dad and Navy career man. | Full Story

Do you smell what The Rock is cooking? Well, if not, let me tell you what’s on the menu. The wrestler/actor has recently landed an action-packed reality series on TNT titled, The Hero.

The Hero will attempt to find a “true hero” by pushing ten contestants beyond their personal and physical limits. The players will live together in one house and compete in different missions that will “test their brains, their brawn and even their morality.” The series will also see how far contenders are willing to go for the sake of their fellow contestants. | Full Story

Falling Skies renewal is hardly surprising, ‘the show is just that good.’

Steven Spielberg’s Falling Skies survives for a third season on TNT. The network released their plans to renew the TV show this week. For many fans, this decision is hardly a surprise since the first season was basic cable’s top new series of 2011. Casting continues. Emmy winner Andre Braugher has booked the lead role in  ABC’s drama pilot  ’Last Resort’.  The Sony TV-produced project centers on the crew of the U.S.S. Nevada, a nuclear submarine, all of whom, after disobeying a suspicious order, become rouge outlaws.

They land on the island of Sainte Marina, where they occupy the NATO Listening Station and declare themselves an independent nuclear nation. Braugher will play Capt. Marcus Chaplin, the commander of the U.S.S. | Full Story

Braugher will make an appearence on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. Tonight, Braugher will play the role of a powerful defense attorney whose client is charged with the rape of a music student. Braugher highlighted that his character will give the New York police and prosecutors on the show a run for their money.
