Thor: The Dark World star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje recently sat down with MTV to discuss his two roles in the massively hyped upcoming followup to 2011′s Thor.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje is set to play a character that soon transforms into another character with the duo of Algrim and Kurse. The Englishman had nothing but surprise when dealing with the job, something he viewed as a “massive opportunity.”

“You go in thinking, ‘Yeah this is great.’ But when you get in there, you’re like whoa; six hours of makeup, prosthetics, all the physical [stuff],” Akinnuoye-Agbaje said. | Full Story

Idris Elba Confirms He’s Returning for Thor 2

Idris Elba has confirmed that he will return for the second installment of the Marvel Studio’s Thor. According to MTV, Elba will once again play Heimdall, the all-seeing, all-hearing guardian sentry of Asgard. This news comes days after it was reported Jaimie Alexander would also be returning to Asgard for Thor 2.

“Thor 2 for sure,” Elba responded when asked about future appearances in the Marvel Universe, “… We’re going at it again.”

‘Thor 2′ Gets A New Director

Marvel Studios has finally found their “Thor 2″ director. According to sources, Alan Taylor has replaced Patty Jenkins to direct the sequel. Taylor’s recent work includes Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and Nurse Jackie, and he also directed the film Palookaville.

Jenkins was originally selected for the job but then quit over creative differences with Marvel. She mentioned that she was thankful for the job, but differences in vision is what caused her to split from the project. | Full Story

Studio To Close On New Director For ‘Thor 2′

Recently, Marvel Studios parted ways with appointed ‘Thor 2′ director Patty Jenkins. Jenkins mentions that she was thankful for the job, but differences in vision is what caused her to split from the project.

“I have had a great time working at Marvel”, Jenkins said. “We parted on very good terms, and I look forward to working with them again. I have a long love of superhero films and I’d been saying over and over to my agents at CAA that I’d like to do one,” she said. | Full Story
