According to Deadline.com, Seth MacFarlane will be hosting the 85th annual Academy Awards. MacFarlane is the creator of the animated TV sitcoms’ Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and American Dad!. He recently proved his movie making chops with his blockbuster hit Ted, starring Mark Whalberg, Mila Kunis and MacFarlane voicing Ted, the starring stuffed bear. He was mostly known for his voice acting talents, but MacFarlane revealed he is equally as hilarious in person when he hosted SNL on September 15th. | Full Story

The Dolby Theater Is The New Home For The Academy Awards

The Dolby Theatre will be the new name for the home of the Academy Awards. CIM, the company that owns the property, and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has just inked a 20-year deal.

Formerly known as the Kodak Theatre, this space has been the home of the Oscars since 2002 and the Academy’s Board of Governors believes that venue should remain the home. “We are pleased to have a new agreement with CIM that will continue our longstanding partnership,” said Tom Sherak, the standing Academy president. | Full Story

Sacha Baron Cohen Wants To Prank The Oscars As ‘The Dictator’

Sacha Baron Cohen wants to show up at The Oscars this year as General Aladeen, his role from his upcoming movie The Dictator.

The actor reached out to Paramount about attending the prestigious ceremony as the sex-crazed dictator, but the studio nor the Academy responded to Cohen’s shenanigans.

This isn’t the first time the movie star attempted to prank the Oscars. In 2010, Cohen devised a sketch which was suppose to feature Borat dressed as an Avatar while carrying director James Cameron’s love-child, but it obviously didn’t make the cut. | Full Story

He is also is the lead vocalist and drummer of hip-hop band N.E.R.D. Also Williams partner with Chad Hugo to form the record production groupe The Neptunes.

William has produced numerous hit singles for various musicians such as Jay Z, Snoop Dog and Ludacris and acquired  10 nomination and won 3 Grammy’s from those nominations. | Full Story
