Edgar Wright, director of Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, has signed on to direct Johnny Depp in Disney’s The Night Stalker according to Deadline.

The movie is based on ABC’s 1974 television series Kolchak: The Night Stalker. The show, which was remade in 2005, was about an investigative reporter, Carl Kolchak, who investigates strange murders, often involving werewolves, vampires, zombies, aliens and other supernatural beasties believing they are somehow linked to his wife’s killing. | Full Story
