Mara & Salim Akil Just Inked New Deal With Paramount For 'Abandonment Issues'

Coming off their last project Sparkle, lovebirds Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil has just inked a new deal with Paramount Pictures for their lastest ambition entitled, Abandonment Issues.

Deadine reports, that Mara Brock Akil will write the script and Salim Akil will direct. The duo will collectively produce the project.

The couple has experience some major success with their debut feature, Jumping The Broom, which took the top spot in the box office its first weekend by grossing over $40 million domestically. | Full Story

London joining the cast of The Game will fill the voided spot that Tia Mowry left when she departed the show last month. The actress will play a character named Kiera, who is “a former child star who is currently appearing in a Cosby Show-esque sitcom.”
