Matt Damon recently sat down in a interview to talk about he and John Krasinski’s latest film Promised Land. During the questioning, on whether or not he will reprise his Jason Bourne character, it seem to have struck a cord with the star. Damon was grilled about a statement he recently made which created some buzz in the industry.

In a few weeks The Bourne Legacy will  hit U.S. theaters; however, talks about the future of the franchise have already begun.  Both Jeremy Renner and producer Frank Marshall have given a little insight into where the next installment will continue after Renner’s genetically modified spy, Aron Cross makes his debut in the film.

A Brand New Poster For The Bourne Legacy Drops

Universal Pictures just released a new clip from the latest installment of the Bourne franchise The Bourne Legacy. Jeremy Renner also takes over as Tredstone operator Aaron Cross in the upcoming film. Tony Gilroy has expanded on the Bourne universe that was originally created by Robert Ludlum. The writer/director takes charge of the Bourne franchise, which has become hugely popular, collecting almost $1 billion in the box office.

Universal’s The Bourne Legacy has been given a new release date after the studio anticipated Warner Bros.’ The Dark Knight Rises will clean up at the box office.

According to EW, the fourth installment of The Bourne Film franchise will be pushed back a week from August 3rd to August 10th to give the Jeremy Renner-starred film some breathing room from the July 20th debut of Dark Knight Rises.

After The Avengers busted up the box office with it’s weekend debut, leaving several casualties in the wake of its record $200.3 million domestic haul, Universal is taking no chances having the first Bourne movie without Matt Damon in the Caped Crusader’s blast zone. | Full Story
