The Oscar nomination are out and a nominee to highlight for their extraordinary work on Marvel’s The Avengers is Industrial Light & Magic. They’ve receieved their nomination and following the good news the company released its reel, which shows their remarkable work behind the scene of the hit film. Industrial Light & Magic has a team of 200 artists, scientists, and engineers behind the work in the video below. British actor Tom Hiddleston, who portrayed Thor villian Loki, has revealed that he is not sure if he will be returning to play the character in The Avengers sequel.

“I don’t know, and that is really the honest answer. I know I’ve been known for obfuscation in other quarters, but I have no idea,” he said. ” I haven’t spoken to Joss. He’s definitely doing it. So I suspect not, only because I think that probably the audiences are tired of Loki being the bad guy.Maybe the Avengers need someone else to fight. | Full Story

The Avengers has reach a major milestone. The hit film has become the third movie in history to hit the $1.5 billion mark at the worldwide box office.

The Disney and Marvel Studio’s movie hit the mark today, thanks to a re-release and an aggressive Labor Day push. Disney raised The Avengers domestic theater count to 1,700 on Friday, to accommodate the holiday weekend. The Blu-ray/DVD release of The Avengers is less than a month away, but Marvel thinks their superhero ensemble is so great people will want to watch it on the big screen one more time before it’s packaged for home viewing. And why not, the film’s worldwide gross is nearly $1.5 billion, making it the third largest grossing film ever.

The Avengers Sequel To Feature More War Machine Says Don Cheadle

Paramount/Marvel  has already given The Avengers sequel the green light. Now fans are speculating what superheroes will be making an appearance in the next installment of the uber-successful franchise.

At Comic-Con last week, Don Cheadle hinted that one of those Marvel heroes may be his Iron Man 2 character James Rhodes.  Initially played by Terrance Howard in the first Iron Man movie, Rhodes is a military colonel with a tenuous friendship with Tony Starks.  He wears the War Machine suit,  which he kind of borrowed from Stark, and had outfitted with some big military guns. | Full Story
