Oprah Winfrey has tweeted a new photo of her and actor Terrance Howard in Lee Daniels’ The Butler. On Twitter, the entertainment mogulette has been actively sharing several on-set photos of herself and other cast members to her fans.
The photo that Winfrey shared was accompanied by the Tweet that read:

It looks as though Baggage Claim is shaping up a pretty decent cast and may be the next urban classic to hit the theaters.
Playwright/director David E. Talbert’s has recently extended invitations to Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Trey Songz, Lauren London, Tia Mowry and Djimon Hounsou to join his upcoming Baggage Claim comedy.
Baggage Claim, which already has Paula Patton, Derek Luke, and Octavia Spencer on board, will see Patton star as Montana Moore, a 35 year old unmarried flight attendant who is on a mission. | Full Story
It seems like nowadays when directors are looking to add a little comedy to a film they are all turning to Kevin Hart to foot the bill. Writer/director David E. Talbert has recently put out an offer to the comedic actor and Terence Howard to join the cast of Baggage Claim.
Baggage Claim, which already has Derek Luke and Octavia Spencer signed on, is based on Talbert’s successful novel centered around a flight attendant with thirty days and thirty thousand miles to find a husband. | Full Story
Terrence Howard has signed on to star in upcoming film A Girl and a Gun.
According to Deadline, “the Oscar nominee will play Ian, a hustler with big Hollywood dreams who’s going nowhere fast until he intervenes in a mugging and get pulled in to a world of intrigue.”
A Girl and a Gun will also star Killer Joe’s Juno Temple, Christopher Walken and Luis Guzmán, and Filip Jan Rymsza will direct from a script that he wrote. | Full Story
Jennifer Hudson returns to the big screen to play Winnie, the wife of former South African leader Nelson Mandela, played by Terrance Howard.
Winnie focuses on her relationship with Mandela during the political struggle under the vicious apartheid system, a system very similar to the Jim Crow laws that were enforced in America post slavery. The film just recently wrapped in Cape Town, South Africa but no release date has been set. | Full Story
It has been reported that Terrence Howard has Joined Dead Man Down, the action thriller starring Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace and Dominic Cooper.
Howard is set to play a brutal crime lord whose right hand man (Farrell) is seduced by a victim (Noomi Rapace) of one of their violent crimes seeking vengeance. Together they begin to destroy Howard’s criminal empire piece by piece.
Directed by Niels Arden Oplev, director of the original The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Filming will start this month in Philadelphia. | Full Story
It has been a long road for George Lucas in bringing to life the epic WWII film ‘Red Tails’ to theaters. Lucas went up against colleagues for years who opposed making the film with the belief that nobody would be interested in seeing a movie about African American soldiers, starring African American actors.

David Oyelowo joins the cast of Steven Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln‘ He will play the role of calvalryman. Oyelowo is a busy man these days, agreeing to do the Spielberg project while currently shooting the Christopher McQuarrie directed ‘One Shot‘ starring Tom Cruise. Oyelowo plays the lead detective investigating a sniper massacre in Pittsburgh.
In addition, Oyelowo just wrapped Lee Daniels’s ‘Paperboy‘ and will be seen next starring in George Lucas ‘Red Tails,’ a drama about a group of African Americans pilots called the Tuskegee airmen, whom has to fight home grown racism in order to fight for their country during WWII. | Full Story
