Tommy Dewey Chosen for Upcoming Seth MacFarlane Project ‘Dads’

Tommy Dewey has been the latest cast in Fox’s upcoming 6 episode, multi-camera comedy series, Dads.

The series is written by Ted writers, Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, and will be produced by funnyman and Family Guy creator, Seth MacFarlane. Dewey, who has recently been seen in a few episodes of the Fox freshmen comedy The Mindy Project, will play Warner. Warner is a 30-something family man and co-owner of a video game company, whose life is completely changed when his ill-mannered father, Crawford, moves in with him. | Full Story

Mark Whalberg And Ted To Present At Oscars

Mark Whalberg and his Ted co-star, Ted, will be presenters at this years Academy Awards. The pair were the stars of the highest grossing R-rated comedy in history, released last summer. Oscar host Seth MacFarlane voices the bear and since he’ll already be there anyway, it makes the gig easy. As seen on Deadline.com, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron even admit that “Ted used his pull with our host to get himself the booking.”

According to Deadline.com, Seth MacFarlane will be hosting the 85th annual Academy Awards. MacFarlane is the creator of the animated TV sitcoms’ Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and American Dad!. He recently proved his movie making chops with his blockbuster hit Ted, starring Mark Whalberg, Mila Kunis and MacFarlane voicing Ted, the starring stuffed bear. Among all R-rated movies it scored eighth all-time and third among comedies behind The Hangover Part 2 and Sex and the City.

The Raunchy comedy is on track to making between $51 to 55 million, on its opening weekend, which would overtake the current record holder rated R comedy, The Hangover
