Production is underway for Steve McQueen’s Twelve Years Slave as shooting  continues in New Orleans over the past few weeks. McQueen has enlisted an A-list cast that he can trust to deliver the intensity for this high drama slavery biopic and continues to do so with his latest addition to the cast.

Twelve Years A Slave is based on Solomon Northup’s 1853 autobiography about a free black man from Washington DC.
