After Earth, staring Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith opens in theaters June 7th, 2013, and so far Sony Pictures has released two trailers to promote the film. After watching both trailers we have captured ten moments that may require a second look, and also suggest that After Earth is going to be a must see movie.

Sony Pictures appears to be doing some odd marketing releasing a red ban trailer, promoting this Valentine’s movie a whole year before its release date.

Set to be release on Valentine’s Day 2014, Hart, along with Michael Ealy, Regina Hall and Joy Bryant band together to tell the story of Romance in the modern world and how it can prove treacherous for the disaffected, but downright terrifying for those searching for the real thing. | Full Story

It’s official, Skyfall is now the highest grossing Bond film since its conception back in 1962.

Daniel Craig has something to be proud of, which is playing 007 for the third time. As of today, the Sam Mendes directed film has made $669.2 million globally, which is a substantial bump up from Casino Royale’s $599.2 million in 2006.

This has been a record year for Sony and on Sunday Sony chairman of worldwide marketing and distribution, Jeff Blake, announced that the studio has crossed $4 billion in global ticket sales for the first time in history. | Full Story

When Sam Raimi announced he’d be writing a remake of his own seminal horror classic The Evil Dead, I think the general reaction was “Why, God, why?!” Practically the definition of “cult classic,” Raimi’s feature debut re-defined low budget horror, pushed the boundaries of good taste, helped revamp the American independent film, and created a pop-cult icon in Bruce Campell‘s Ash.

Which Bond is Right In New Skyfall Poster?

Two new posters hit the web today for the upcoming Bond film Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig.  Sony released one Skyfall poster intended to appeal to the Brits across the Atlantic, while the other Skyfall poster is geared for the Americans. The British poster features Bond clean cut in a well-tailored suit, sporting a pistol. The American poster shows a dirty Bond on his back, with no tie, taking aim with his pistol. | Full Story

Denzel Washington $20 Million Deal To Play The Equalizer

Sony Pictures closes a $20 million deal with Denzel Washington for The Equalizer project.

Sony Pictures is moving forward with Denzel Washington as their main man for The Equalizer.  The studio moved quickly after receiving the script from writer Richard Wenk .

That script must have been good, because the studio has set a April 8th  2013 start date soon after getting it.  Before the script came, the film was stuck in the development phase for over a year. | Full Story

The Amazing Spiderman On Track To Record Breaking Week

 The Amazing Spider-man shows strength In Midnight Debut!

The Amazing Spider-man is expected to haul in big superhero numbers by the end of this weekend, according to some bullish box-office observers.

The movie earned $7.5 million from midnight showings during it’s U.S. premiere last night, with $1.2 million of it coming from 300 IMAX screens.

Prior to the healthy domestic kick-off  by the Sony superhero tentpole, the studio  projected the film would gross somewhere in the range of $110 to $120 million over the first six days. | Full Story

A new international trailer was released by Sony Pictures for the The Amazing Spider Man. This trailer includes more footage of the action sequences than the trailer before. The film will be coming to theaters everywhere July 3rd. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
