A recent report from The Guardian claims the William Faulkner estate is set to sue Sony Picture Classics over a line used in the time traveling comedy Midnight in Paris.

The lawsuit centers on a line spoken by Owen Wilson about 3/4ths of the way through the film. He boldly (and comically) exclaims “The past is not dead! Actually it’s not even past. You know who said that? Faulkner. And he was right. | Full Story

‘God of War’ Movie Gains Momentum

After nearly three years, the movie adaptation of God of War is finally gaining some momentum.

Marcus Dustan and Patrick Melton, who penned the scripts behind the latter portion of the Saw series, have been picked to revise the script already written by David Self, according to screenrant.com.

The God of War  movie follows a Grecian warrior named Kratos, who eventually makes a deal with the god of war, Ares. | Full Story

The Dark Knight Rises easily took the top spot in the domestic box office for the third straight weekend. The film is down only 41%…earning an estimated $36 million.

Two new films hit the market this weekend, Total Recall and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. One of the movies was supposed to be real competitive with The Dark Knight Rises. Steve Jobs Movie To Be Penned By Aaron Sorkin

Aaron Sorkin has been hired to write the movie for Sony Pictures’s biopic about Steve Jobs. The studio announced yesterday that the film will be based on Walter Issacson’s biography of the Apple co-founder.

Last year in October, Jobs died after a battle with cancer. This is a different Steve Jobs’ biopic from the indie project starring Ashton Kutcher.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has signed on to play the lead role in the  screen play adaptation of IDW Publishing’s graphic novel, Lore, written by Ashley Wood and T.P. Louise.

Bidding wars have begun between Warner Bros, Paramount, and Sony for rights to the sci-fi film.  However, it appears that Warner Bros. may have an edge over the other two production companies, due to the fact they’ve already closed the deal for the rights to the book. | Full Story

Almost a year after Sony Pictures and the PlayStation Network faced vicious hacking attacks, reports have emerged that Sony Music suffered its own breach in the UK in 2011.

Two British men were arraigned in a United Kingdom court on Friday over charges that they illegally downloaded more than 50,000 Sony Music files.

Most of the files downloaded were said to be by the late “King Of Pop” Michael Jackson. The alleged British hackers are said to have stolen Jackson’s music, including unreleased songs and works by other artists. | Full Story

Sony Releases New Photos Of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’

Two new photos hit the internet today featuring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. The two are starring in Sony’s ‘The Amazing Spider Man,’ a speedy remake to Columbia’s ‘Spider Man’ that starred Tobey Maguire, but unfortunately had an ending that left fans hugely disappointed.

‘The Amazing Spider Man’ has indicated a more serious and darker approach in regards to the story and plot. Spider Man’s top villain has been announced as The Lizard played by Rhys Ifans. | Full Story
