However, upon rumors that Mendes may not be returning for another go round, he himself publicly confirmed what other’s had feared, he will not be directing the next ‘Bond’ film.

To be precise, Skyfall director Sam Mendes is “75 per cent of the way” towards reprising his role as a James Bond director for the next Bond installment. At least, that’s according to this article from Daily Mail. The only thing between Mendes and a commitment is the final script, which he has yet to see.
