Fox’s hit show, The X Factor, loses judge, L.A. Reid. It is unknown who will replace Reid, but is known that he was not “let go” like a few other judges that won’t be named… (Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger).

L.A. Reid told Access Hollywood, “I have decided that I will not return to The X Factor next year.” The CEO and chairman of Epic Records went on to say, “I have to go back and I have a company to run that I’ve kind of neglected and it saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit.” L.A. | Full Story

‘X Factor’ Renewed For Third Season

Looks like three is a lucky number for TV series right now. Following on the heels of Homeland’s recent renewal, The Hollywood Reporter also tells us that Fox’s The X Factor has also been picked up for a third season.

This also comes as no real surprise considering the recent decision to add even MORE celebrities to the shows’ payroll. Following the uber successful additions of new super celebrity judges, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez make their debut as co-hosts on November 1. | Full Story

Just before X Factor and The Voice are set to air their season premieres, the rivalry between the two music competition shows has reached fever pitch.

In a move apparently aimed at sabotaging the The X Factor’s September 12th Season 2 opener, NBC announced it would air a special Wednesday installment of The Voice next week.

Following the announcement, X Factor creator, Simon Cowell, responded with some harsh words, citing a “gentleman’s agreement” between programs. | Full Story

Fourteen year-old X Factor star Rachel Crow’s entertainment career has taken off. Crow, whose shocking elimination from X-Factor created one of the biggest controversies in TV history has signed a major talent deal with Nickelodeon . The network is creating  a comedy series for her to star in, which will shoot its pilot later this year.

In addition, she will have a recurring role in Nickelodeon’s upcoming short-form series Fred: The Show,  a show about an imaginative, confident but awkward teenager. | Full Story

L.A. Reid has been spared from the X Factor chopping block, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The Epic Records chairman has reportedly signed on for Season 2 of The X Factor, just days after a shake-up resulted in host Steve Jones and judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger getting the boot.

Paula Abdul is the latest host to come under The X Factor ax, following the ousting of fellow co-judge Nicole Scherzinger and host  Steve Jones.

The reality show star released a statement confirming her exit from the singing competition series.  Fox and X Factor‘s almost-last-man-standing Simon Cowell released supportive statements immediately after Abdul’s.
