CBS’ Golden Boy Theo James, has just signed on to star in the Neil Burger directed adaptation of Divergent. The actor has joined Kate Winslet, Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Zoe Kravitz, Maggie Q and Jai Courtney, who have all already signed on to play in the project.
Based on Veronica Roth’s Divergent, the project is described as a thrilling adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. | Full Story

Columbia Pictures announced today that filming has begun on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in New York. The film is the first in the history of the franchise that will be filmed entirely in New York City and New York State. | Full Story
It seems like everyone is going to be in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, and Dane DeeHan have been confirmed as new characters in the upcoming film, now Paul Giamatti and Felicity Jones might be added to that list as well.

A recent story from EW has confirmed a report from Variety claiming Kate Winslet is in talks to co-star in an upcoming Neil Burger film called Divergent.
Divergent is a 2011 novel by author Veronica Roth. The first in a trilogy, Divergent takes place a futuristic and dystopian Chicago. Shailene Woodley, who’s enjoyed success in 2011′s The Descendants as well as in the 2008 series The Secret Life of the American Teenager, will be leading the film adaptation as Beatrice Prior. | Full Story
Yesterday, Angela Bassett announced on her Facebook that she joined Gabby Sidibe in the upcoming Greg Araki directed film, White Bird In A Blizzard.
The actress posted:
“Filming the new Gregg Araki movie today with Gabby Sidibe, very excited!”
White Bird In A Blizzard is an upcoming feature which is based on a novel of the same name by Laura Kasischke. The film will tell the story of a troubled young woman whose life changes following the strange disappearance of her mother. | Full Story
Jamie Foxx is in talks to play the Spiderman’s nemesis in the next installment of the franchise. First heard on Variety, Foxx would be cast as Max Dillon, aka Electro, a super villain who gains the power to control electricity after he is struck by lighting while working on a power line.
Jamie Foxx is an actor who brings a certain flair to all of his roles. While he’s definitely played some eccentric characters like Nathaniel Ayers in The Soloist, Dean “MF” Jones in Horrible Bosses and Django in Quienton Tarantino’s next flick, Django Unchained, the actor has yet to play a super villain. | Full Story

Courtesy of Variety, reports have been spreading across the net claiming Shailene Woodley has been offered the role of Mary Jane Watson in the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man.
Shailene Woodley is perhaps best known for her starring role in the television series The Secret Life of the American Teenager, which has just been canceled after its fifth season. Woodley also made an appearance in 2011’s The Descendants alongside George Clooney. | Full Story
Dayo Okeniyi, who played Thresh in The Hunger Games, has landed two new roles in upcoming projects.
The first film the actor has signed on to is an indie drama titled The Spectacular Now, which is an adaptation of a novel by Tim Tharp.
According to the movie synopsis, The Spectacular Now centers on “a charismatic high school senior who lives only for the moment.” This film will be directed by James Ponsoldt and already has a cast that already includes Shailene Woodley, Milles Teller and Brie Larson. | Full Story
