According to TheWrap.com, Sacha Baron Cohen and his production company, Four by Two, will develop a new film  for Paramount Pictures entitled The Lesbian. The idea stemmed from recent press surrounding a billionaire from Hong Kong who was willing to pay $65 million to any man who could land his daughter’s hand in marriage. The only catch? She’s a lesbian who recently married her longtime partner in Paris. Good luck gentlemen, your work is cut out for you. | Full Story

‘Les Miserables’ Musical Teaser Released

Universal has released the first Les Miserables teaser trailer featuring Anne Hathaway flexing her pipes with one of the show’s most famous songs.

The Tom Hooper-directed movie, is a drama based on the famed musical and Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel of the same name.  Aside from Hathaway, the film boasts a star-studded cast, which includes Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Helena Bonham Carter, Samantha Barks, and Aaron Tveit. | Full Story

Both Kurt Russell and Sacha Baron Cohen have decided to leave director Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.   Baron Cohen himself broke the news on The Howard Stern Show (via HitFix), saying, “That was going to be a cameo, but I had to drop out because of [The Dictator's] press tour.”  Russell, on the other hand, has not yet publicly released a reason for his exit.

The actor was originally dis-invited by the academy. The organizers changed their minds and allowed Baron Cohen to attend the ceremony acting as Moammar Gadhafi, the character he plays in his upcoming film, The Dictator. The Dictator star, Sacha Baron Cohen, has gotten his way. It appears the controversial funny man will participate in the 84th Annual Academy Awards afterall.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator has been stirring  up controversy in mass  this week, but he finally received tickets for  tomorrow’s ceremony.

Various sources have also confirmed that General Aladeen will be in attendance at the awards show, with Oscar producer Brian Grazer expressing, “We’re thrilled to have him and he’ll be on the red carpet dressed as The Dictator.”

Sacha Baron Cohen wants to show up at The Oscars this year as General Aladeen, his role from his upcoming movie The Dictator.

The actor reached out to Paramount about attending the prestigious ceremony as the sex-crazed dictator, but the studio nor the Academy responded to Cohen’s shenanigans.

This isn’t the first time the movie star attempted to prank the Oscars. In 2010, Cohen devised a sketch which was suppose to feature Borat dressed as an Avatar while carrying director James Cameron’s love-child, but it obviously didn’t make the cut. | Full Story
