Arnold Schwarzenegger may have lost his stream as a Hollywood star, or maybe it’s payback from the moral gods for his extracurricular activities, because his latest film, The Last Stand, has flopped big-time in this weekend’s box office.

On the flip side of ole’ washed up Arnie’s demise, the new horror pic Mama, starring Jessica Chastain is leading the Martin Luther King weekend in the theaters. Mama is projected to make $33.2 million after taking in $28.1 million in the first three days. | Full Story

Clint Mansell Reunites With Darren Aronofsky for ‘Noah’

Clint Mansell

Not surprisingly, a recent report has confirmed that Darren Aronofsky will join forces once again with Clint Mansell for the scoring of Noah. The news regarding the biblical epic comes courtesy of Collider.

Clint Mansell has been a longtime collaborator with Aronofsky. His work in Requiem for a Dream, known as “Lux Aeterna“, has become a staple in the film world and Youtube clips. Similarly, without Mansell’s contribution, the rest of Aronofsky’s films – Pi, The Fountain, The Wrestler, Black Swan – would not seem nearly as haunting, human or desperate. | Full Story

Cinematographer Leaks ‘Noah’ Pic

Noah Aronofsky

A new picture involving Darren Aronofksy’s biblical epic Noah has surfaced online, courtesy of cinematographer Matthew Limbatique’s Twitter.

Apparently when it came to snakes, Noah – played here by Russel Crowe – didn’t settle for two by two. More like, 200,000 by 200,000. The picture also reveals some sort of enormous crocodile.

It’s good to see Aronofsky already putting out work for a feature being released in 2014. It allows audience to assume that plenty more content is to come in the next year and a half, and that the eventual end product will be fitting of the word ‘epic’ in every possible way. | Full Story
