Perhaps best known for scene-stealing supporting roles in comedies like Bridesmaids, Bachelorette,and Pitch Perfect, Australian comedienne Rebel Wilson is ready to take center stage after she sold her comedy pitch to Universal Pictures today. According to Deadline, Wilson is attached to write, produce and star in the comedy pitch she delivered to Universal execs. Senior VP Erik Baiers will oversee the project. Alan Ritchson has just booked a role on the network pilot Super Fun Night. The show is about three geeky female friends and their mission to have a successful and fun night, every Friday. Ritchson will play the beach bod man-0-licious clown boyfriend of Kimmie’s younger sister, who is described as a slimmer, prettier version of her older sister.
