Of all the judges who should leave American Idol, Randy Jackson probably would have been my last choice.

Jackson announced last night that this season of American Idol would be his last. The judge tweeted, “I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. Randy Jackson Steps Down As American Idol Judge

Randy Jackson, the last of the original American Idol judges, will no longer  be sitting in a judges seat when the singing competition returns in January 2013.

According to a report from TMZ, a source said Jackson will not be a judge but he will not leave Idol for good. Instead, the song writer will serve as a mentor for the contestants.

The website also said that Nicki Minaj is 99 percent done inking  a deal to join American Idol.  If this is true, it will be interesting to see how she is able to continue her  “Pink Friday Reloaded” world tour. | Full Story

Now that Steven Tyler is saying goodby, Jennifer Lopez has one and a half feet out the door, and Randy Jackson is mulling over terminating himself, It appears American Idol may have to bring in a complete replacement kit of judges.
