The actor was just cast in Paramount’s newest project Six Years, based on a novel by New York Times Bestselling author, Harlan Coben. Jackman, a man of many talents, is certainly in high demand these days, so Six Years must be something special.

Sacha Baron Cohen To Develop New Film ‘The Lesbian’

According to TheWrap.com, Sacha Baron Cohen and his production company, Four by Two, will develop a new film  for Paramount Pictures entitled The Lesbian. The idea stemmed from recent press surrounding a billionaire from Hong Kong who was willing to pay $65 million to any man who could land his daughter’s hand in marriage. The only catch? She’s a lesbian who recently married her longtime partner in Paris. Good luck gentlemen, your work is cut out for you. | Full Story

‘Ninja Turtles’ Reboot Shut Down By Paramount

A reboot of the Ninja Turtle franchise has been shut down by Paramount, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter. Apparently the film was in pre-production in Vancouver when a stop work order was issued by studio execs.

An unsatisfactory script was the reason given in the report for pulling the plug. Now, pre-production staff has been temporarily laid off and informed that work stoppage was “indefinite.” However, another source told the THR the project, initially scheduled for a December 2013 release, has been pushed back to May 2014. | Full Story

Transformers Extra Wins $18.5 Million Settlement From Paramount

A 26-year-old movie extra and aspiring actress, who was critically injured while filming Transformers 3, has won a $18.5 million settlement from Paramount.

Gabriella Cedillo, then 24, suffered a serious brain injury while appearing in the background of an action sequence in the city of Hammond Indiana, on September 1, 2010 for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

The young woman was driving her own vehicle in the background of a scene when a cable snapped and plunged through her windshield — striking her in the head. | Full Story

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has signed on to play the lead role in the  screen play adaptation of IDW Publishing’s graphic novel, Lore, written by Ashley Wood and T.P. Louise.

Sacha Baron Cohen wants to show up at The Oscars this year as General Aladeen, his role from his upcoming movie The Dictator.

The actor reached out to Paramount about attending the prestigious ceremony as the sex-crazed dictator, but the studio nor the Academy responded to Cohen’s shenanigans.

This isn’t the first time the movie star attempted to prank the Oscars. In 2010, Cohen devised a sketch which was suppose to feature Borat dressed as an Avatar while carrying director James Cameron’s love-child, but it obviously didn’t make the cut. | Full Story

As you will see in the video below Cruise runs up, down, across and jumps out the window of the record-setting Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Breaking News: John Singleton sues Paramount for going back on a ‘Hustle and Flow’ two picture deal. According to The Hollywood Reporter  John Singleton who was the producer of the 2005 breakout hit ‘Hustle and Flow,’ has filed suit today saying that he signed a $9 million dollar deal with Paramount with the promise to produce  two more films, as long as the budget didn’t exceed $3.5 million each. An additional clause of the agreements stated that producing fees couldn’t be higher than 7.5 percent. | Full Story

Before the release date was January 13. 2012, now its been pushed to March 23, 2012 that’s less than a month after the Academy Awards which Murphy will be hosting.

Perhaps Paramount is planning on riding the wave of Murphy’s hosting the Oscars, only to put it up against Lionsgate ‘s highly anticipated teen novels-turned-movie ‘The Hunger Games’
