Back in October, Tyler Perry partnered with Oprah Winfrey’s OWN to develop a series of programming and other projects for the cable channel. A decision that saw the director-actor-screenwriter-producer leave his business home over a TBS to make OWN his TV platform. Was this a good decision for Perry? Oprah Winfrey chose to revitalize her acting career by taking a role in Lee Daniels’ The Butler, and now the former talk show host has tweeting some new images of her return.
The Butler centers around Eugene Allen, a butler who worked at the White House from 1952 to 1986, serving under eight presidents. The movie is based on an article written about Eugene’s life story by Wil Haygood. Allen started working at the White House at a time when black people were still discriminated against. | Full Story
Lee Daniel’s film ‘The Butler’ has met a match that’s too big to handle. Production for the upcoming film has been shut down for a few days. Isaac, the category 1 hurricane which recently hit New Orleans, is the culprit behind the temporary set-backs.

Pernell Walker has landed a role to play in Lee Daniels’ upcoming film The Butler. The Pariah actress will play the character name Lorraine in the movie. Kim Kardashian told media mogul Oprah Winfrey that her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries was not an act to boost ratings. Kim K used the first part of a two-part interview with Winfrey to reiterate to fans that she entered the ill-fated marriage with the best of intentions.

Oprah’s OWN television network has yet to gain a steady stream of income for the mogul. In fact, the channel hasn’t even begun to get lukewarm. According to a recent report, the losses at Oprah Winfrey’s struggling cable channel are up to $330 million.
TV industry insiders are predicting that OWN will have to close its doors before the year is over.
