Legendary boxing champion, Mike Tyson, will make his television acting debut as a convicted murder on NBC’s Law and Order: SVU.
Tyson is no stranger to the camera, both on television and the silver screen. He’s had cameos on HBO’s Entourage, Breaking In, and Who’s The Boss. Additionally, he made quite the impression on Zach Galifianakis (literally) in the 2009 box office comedy hit, The Hangover. Scary Movie 5 producers have granted boxing legend Mike Tyson a small role in their upcoming horror parody.
The former fighter has already played in films such as; Crocodile Dundee, The Hangover and its sequel The Hangover II, and now he’s set to star in the latest installment of the Scary Movie franchise.

HBO has passed on its Spike Lee/Doug Ellin-produced pilot Da Brick.
The cable channel has decided to decline the boxing drama, which was based as a new concept of what it means to be a young, black man in a post-racial America.
Da Brick production team had already signed on actor John Boyega to play Donnie, the character who after his release from a juvenlie detention center on his 18th birthday begins to learn what it means to be a man for himself. | Full Story

Well sort of, a rogue casting director from ABC cast Givens in a guest starring role in ‘Suburgatory.’ The comedy follows a young girl that is plucked from the big city by her single parant father after he finds condoms in her dresser draw. Now she has to rebuild her life in a slow paced world.

Earlier this year, news that a tattoo artist filed a lawsuit against the produces of ‘The Hangover 2′ spread and threatened to delay the much anticipated sequel’s release. S. Victor Whitmill sued because a tattoo appearing on a character in the movie very closely resembled the tattoo he designed for Mike Tyson. HBO and Spike Lee are letting all ride on John Boyega who was first brought to our attention in The Euro feature ‘Attack the Blocks’. Well it appears that Boyega impressed some people. Spike Lee had no doubts about having Boyega play ‘Da Brick’s’ lead, Donnie. ‘Da Brick’, based loosely on Iron Mike Tyson’s life, follows Donnie as he encounters the obstacles of being young and black in a “post-racial America.” Julito McCullum (The Wire) will play Kevin Donnie’s best friend. | Full Story
