Jose Padilha is out making his first major motion picture with MGM’s reboot of Robocop, and according to reports, he is bitter that the studio won’t let him do what he wants with the project.
Production is scheduled to begin shooting in September, but it hasn’t been a walk in the park for Padiha leading up to the first days of shooting. Collider has reported that Hotfix’s Drew McWheeny got his hands on a copy of the script and gave it a negative review. | Full Story
It’s official: MGM has offered actress Julianne Moore the role of Margaret White in Kim Peirce’s upcoming film Carrie.
For months it has been speculated that the studio was eyeing a few actresses for the role. Now, according to Deadline Hollywood, Moore has received the script and a pay or play offer.

Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, MGM and Sony Pictures Entertainment have partnered up to deliver a funny 21 Jump Street remake, which is scheduled to open in theaters on March 16, 2012. The original television program ran for five seasons from 1987 to 1991. The series was based on a young looking undercover police unit who would infiltrate high schools in order to control crime.
