The upcoming film, which will feature the Hollywood badboy, Charlie Sheen, as the Presisent of the United States, has received its release date. Open Road is slated to deliver Robert Rodriquez’s Machete Kills on September 13, 2013.

Machete Kills is a sequel to the film Machete, and is centered on a arms dealers/Mexican cartel leader. A year ago Warner Bros hinted they were interested in making the fifth installment of the Lethal weapon franchise. However, if the studio plans to move forward with making Lethal Weapon 5, they’re gonna need two new lead actors because Mel Gibson is a no go and Danny Glover doesn’t seem like he’s up for another one either.

Mel Gibson is closing a deal to join the cast of Machete Kills, Robert Rodriguez’s second edition to his 2010 film Machete.

Machete Kills is based on the U.S. government trying to stop a cartel leader and arms dealer who have a weapon in space.

Danny Trejo is returning as the former Mexican federales who disgraced the agency. Rodriguez, who directed the original Machete with Ethan Maniquis, mentioned that he’d hope to direct the new film single handedly. | Full Story

Mel Gibson is considering filing a lawsuit against Joe Eszeterhas for secretly recording him spewing a profanity-ridden rant at his Costa Rican home.

TMZ is reporting that an unnamed source says the Braveheart actor believes his “basic human right to privacy” has been violated.

Gibson’s camp is reportedly looking into Costa Rican law to determine if recording laws were violated. Even if they weren’t, Gibson believes his right of privacy was violated by the release of the audio, and may pursue litigation against Eszerterhas in U.S. | Full Story

Mel Gibson has responded to Joe Eszterhas’ memo accusing him of being an anti-Semite, and expressing it while working on the Judah Maccabee movie script with the writer.

Yesterday, Eszterhas released a statement saying that Gibson “uttered salacious and anti-Semitic statements” while the two worked together.

Today, Gibson fired back at the writer by releasing a statement of his own:

Mel Gibson and Robyn Gibson are officially divorced, and the actor’s ex-wife has been awarded half of his $900 million fortune.

The “Die Hard” star was married to the mother of seven of his children for close to 31 years. Since the couple didn’t have a prenuptial agreement, Robyn, who is 55 years old, is legally entitled to half of Mel’s past, present and future earnings.

Robyn filed for a divorce in April of 2009, citing “irreconcilable differences” as a reason for ending their marriage. | Full Story

Back in March, Mel Gibson was sentenced to three years of probation and one year of domestic violence counseling. The actor plead no contest to a charge of domestic violence, which involved his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

Gibson’s attorney, Blair Berk, told Judge Stephanie Sautner that, “Gibson is way ahead of schedule, having completed 38 counseling sessions equaling 78 hours total with his therapist.”
