Mel Gibson is considering filing a lawsuit against Joe Eszeterhas for secretly recording him spewing a profanity-ridden rant at his Costa Rican home.

TMZ is reporting that an unnamed source says the Braveheart actor believes his “basic human right to privacy” has been violated.

Gibson’s camp is reportedly looking into Costa Rican law to determine if recording laws were violated. Even if they weren’t, Gibson believes his right of privacy was violated by the release of the audio, and may pursue litigation against Eszerterhas in U.S. | Full Story

Mel Gibson and Robyn Gibson are officially divorced, and the actor’s ex-wife has been awarded half of his $900 million fortune.

The “Die Hard” star was married to the mother of seven of his children for close to 31 years. Since the couple didn’t have a prenuptial agreement, Robyn, who is 55 years old, is legally entitled to half of Mel’s past, present and future earnings.

Back in March, Mel Gibson was sentenced to three years of probation and one year of domestic violence counseling. The actor plead no contest to a charge of domestic violence, which involved his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

Gibson’s attorney, Blair Berk, told Judge Stephanie Sautner that, “Gibson is way ahead of schedule, having completed 38 counseling sessions equaling 78 hours total with his therapist.”
