A new trailer has finally come out for Elysium, the Matt Damon-starring, much-anticipated return of District 9 director Neill Blomkamp.

As trailers are wont to do, it doles out the basic details of the plot: in The Future (TM), the wealthy of mankind live on an opulent space habitat called Elysium, while all the other people languish on a ruined Earth. Damon plays some dude who gets into a super-special battle suit to infiltrate Elysium and save a bunch of people on the surface. | Full Story

Hot Trailer Released Of ‘Promised Land’ Featuring Matt Damon

The new trailer for Promised Land featuring Matt Damon has been released. The Good Will Hunting star re-teams with director Gus Van Sant to make the film based on “a natural gas conglomerate that descends on a small farming town. Damon and Frances McDormand are the company’s point people who run into plenty of problems once they arrive”(DL).

In a few weeks The Bourne Legacy will  hit U.S. theaters; however, talks about the future of the franchise have already begun.  Both Jeremy Renner and producer Frank Marshall have given a little insight into where the next installment will continue after Renner’s genetically modified spy, Aron Cross makes his debut in the film.

Matt Damon was supposed to make his directorial debut on a movie starring himself and John Krasinski, but has now decided to back out of leading the project.

According to sources, the actor decided to pull out because of “script issues”.

Deadline Hollywood reported differently, saying that the reason Damon opted out of directing the film was because he didn’t have enough time. He will still star in the movie though. | Full Story

On the red carpet, at the premiere of the film “We Bought a Zoo,” Scarlett Johansson admitted that she is Ornithophobic.

“I’m only scared of birds,” she said. “Something about wings and beaks and the flapping. I’m terrified of them. That still hasn’t gone away. My uncle is terrified of birds, as well, so it runs in the family.”

Katy Perry hosted Saturday Night Live last night. Although it was not the funniest episode of the season, there were some funny sketches and Perry held her own. Perry used her singing voice for most of the sketches, but her acting was not entirely bad considering it was her first time hosting the show.

The “I Kissed a Girl” singer definitely had her funny moments including her Christina Aguilera impersonation in the ‘New Years Eve’ parody, and as a Japanese enthusiast in the ‘J-Pop’ segment. | Full Story
