Marlon Wayans’ ‘A Haunted House’ Picked Up By COMEDY CENTRAL

COMEDY CENTRAL has brokered a deal with Open Road Films, the company who released Marlon Wayans’s A Haunted House, to get the first window broadcast premiere of new blockbuster comedy.

The deal was announced today by COMEDY CENTRAL, David Bernath, Executive Vice President, Program Strategy and Multiplatform Programming, and Rand Stoll, Head of TV Sales for Open Road Films.

Stoll stated, “COMEDY CENTRAL is the perfect home for A Haunted House and we are thrilled to be in business with them on these and hopefully future titles.”

Bernath added, “We are excited to have formed what we hope to be a lasting partnership with Open Road Films.”

Marlon Wayans Leave Scary Movie Franchise To Make His Own Titled 'Found Footage Comedy'

After Harvey Weinstein snatched the Wayans family’s successful Scary Movie franchise and passed it over to Roll Bounce director Malcolm Lee, Marlon Wayans took to making his own all-new horror franchise to leave as a family legacy.

Marlon joined forces with Scary Movie 2 and White Chicks producer Rick Alvarez to draft up a script for a “found footage” comedy previously titled Smart Ass.
