Mad Men is back for its sixth season with a two-hour season premiere, “The Doorway.” Plot details may be revealed, so if you haven’t yet dropped back into Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, then watch out for spoilers.

It was a tightly woven episode, and didn’t feel bloated at its two-hour run time. I once recall hearing Mad Men episodes compared to a well-constructed short story. Like the masters of that particular craft, Matthew Weiner has a knack for using symbolism and strong visual cues. | Full Story

On tonight’s season 6 premiere of AMC’s Mad Men, Don spearheads a new campaign, Roger gets some unsettling news, and Betty takes in a houseguest.

Mad Men is a TV drama about one of New York’s most prestigious ad agencies at the beginning of the 1960s, focusing on one of the firm’s most mysterious but extremely talented ad executives, Donald Draper.

The series was set initially at the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency on Madison Avenue in New York City, and later at the newly created firm Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. | Full Story

Sayy whaaat? The Gilmore Girls star, Alexis Bledel 31, is getting hitched to none other than Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser, 33.

The two met on the set of Mad Men last year. Bledel played a sultry and lonely housewife who woos Kartheiser’s notoriously sleazy character, Pete Campbell. Their affair is smoldering, but short-lived yet Pete Campbell can’t seem to keep her out of his head. Seems as though that’s true in real life too! | Full Story

Man Men fans rejoice, not only is the new season set to premiere this spring, but it will be a whopping two-hour season opener on Sunday April 7 at 9pm. The following Sunday Mad Men will resume its normal 10pm time slot, with Don Draper himself (Jon Hamm) boasting directing credits for episode 2.

Mad Men mastermind Matthew Weiner decided to echo the Season 5 two hour movie premiere and give fans another extra long, extra juicy season premiere. | Full Story

Imagine this: Don Draper’s head emerges from underwater in a bathtub. The camera pans out and reveals that he’s facing Harry Potter in that same rusty tub. Potter then looks at Draper and says “please pass the loofah.” Draper then fishes around the tub and passes a large brown loofah to Potter across the tub…

It sounds like one of my wildest dreams come true (or the plot of a really weird porno), but it’s actually the opening scene for a new British miniseries, A Young Doctor’s Notebook. Daniel Radcliffe, known for growing up in the public eye from being an actor in Harry Potter, plays young Dr. | Full Story

Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Nick Offerman, and Allison Brie will join Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Morgan Freeman, and Chris Pratt in lending their voices to the new animated Lego 3D movie. Pratt voices the main character Emmet, an unsuspecting hero who gets wrapped up in an adventure after a case of mistaken identity. Ferrell voices an uptight CEO, while Nesson is an unruly henchman known as “Bad Cop”. Did Jon Hamm Avoid Press Because Of 'Mad Men' Emmy Snub?

After getting 17 nominations at last nights Emmy awards, AMC’s Mad Men left with no hardware at the end of the night to show for it.

The show, that has become AMC’s viewers choice, was overlooked on TV’s biggest stage and even lost to Homeland, in Best Drama Series, Best Actress in a Drama and Best Actor in a Drama categories.

Looks like the Emmy committee didn’t want to make history for Mad Men, which easily won Best Drama Series four consecutive years. | Full Story

Jon Hamm, the star of AMC’s Mad Men is not too famous to get a little star struck from time to time. In an interview with AV Club the star spoke about his first encounter with Hip-Hop Mogul Jay Z.

“I was in New York City and going down an elevator when the elevator stopped, and Jay-Z got on,” Hamm said. “This was a long time ago. It was pre-Beyoncé. And definitely pre-Mad Men. | Full Story

Jared Harris Land Lead Role In The Horror Film 'The Quiet Ones'

Jared Harris lands the lead role in Hammer Film’s supernatural horror/thriller The Quiet Ones.

Harris will play a charming but controversial professor whose teaching methods take his students off the grid with a dangerous experiment to create a poltergeist. The story is from Tom Deville with revisions by Oren Moverman, Craig Rosenberg, and John Pogue.
