‘Mad Men’ Premiere Review: “The Doorway”

Mad Men is back for its sixth season with a two-hour season premiere, “The Doorway.” Plot details may be revealed, so if you haven’t yet dropped back into Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, then watch out for spoilers.

It was a tightly woven episode, and didn’t feel bloated at its two-hour run time. I once recall hearing Mad Men episodes compared to a well-constructed short story. Like the masters of that particular craft, Matthew Weiner has a knack for using symbolism and strong visual cues. | Full Story

Mad Men is a TV drama about one of New York’s most prestigious ad agencies at the beginning of the 1960s, focusing on one of the firm’s most mysterious but extremely talented ad executives, Donald Draper.

The two met on the set of Mad Men last year. Bledel played a sultry and lonely housewife who woos Kartheiser’s notoriously sleazy character, Pete Campbell. ‘Mad Men’ Season 6 Premiere Set For April 7

Man Men fans rejoice, not only is the new season set to premiere this spring, but it will be a whopping two-hour season opener on Sunday April 7 at 9pm. The following Sunday Mad Men will resume its normal 10pm time slot, with Don Draper himself (Jon Hamm) boasting directing credits for episode 2.

‘Lego 3D’ Movie Stacks Its Cast

Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Nick Offerman, and Allison Brie will join Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Morgan Freeman, and Chris Pratt in lending their voices to the new animated Lego 3D movie. Pratt voices the main character Emmet, an unsuspecting hero who gets wrapped up in an adventure after a case of mistaken identity. Ferrell voices an uptight CEO, while Nesson is an unruly henchman known as “Bad Cop”. Matthew Weiner, the creator and executive producer of Mad Men, will take a break from the Emmy-winning series to film his pet project, You Are Here.  Starring Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis, the comedy movie will be the first big screen film that Weiner has directed.
