The upcoming Chris Porco Lifetime movie will air tonight. The Lifetime original film named Romeo Killer: The Chris Porco Story, is based on the highly publicized 2004 story of the young college student who butchered his parents as they slept in their suburban home, 20 minutes outside of Albany, NY.

A synopsis for the film describes the movies as:

The buzzed about Bonnie and Clyde mini-series is getting some big names attached.

The four hour mini-series is a project between Lifetime and The History Channel. Oscar winners Holly Hunter (O Brother Where Art Thou?) and William Hurt (Robin Hood) have recently signed on for the series directed by Oscar nominated Australian director Bruce Beresford. Beresford’s works include the 1999 thriller, Double Jeopardy and the Academy Award winning Driving Miss Daisy. The series will be produced by Sony Pictures TV and Craig Zadan and Meron’s Story line Entertainment. | Full Story

Jennifer Hudson and Octavia Spencer signed on to star in the Lifetime anthology movie Five 2. The two have join the cast which include Melissa Leo and Sarah Hyland.

Five 2 chronicles the lives of various characters dealing with breast cancer. Like its first breast cancer-themed installment, Five 2 will consist of five short films featuring great talent both in front and behind the camera. The sequel will also tackle mental illness. | Full Story

According to Deadline.com, the role of Anna Nicole Smith has finally been cast. The Lifetime biopic on the troubled Playboy bunny will star Agnes Bruckner, a Private Practice alumnus. Sources say the hunt for Anna Nicole Smith has been a long one, but Lifetime is pleased with the casting of Bruckner.

According to The Hollywood Reporter:

Bassett will play King opposite Mary J. Blige, who co-stars as Shabazz in the effort previously known as Parallel Lives. Ruby Dee will appear onscreen as a historical witness to narrate the duo’s story as someone familiar with the events of both their lives.
