Man, these parodies of Oscar bait movies just get more and more convincing! This fake trailer for The Butler posits a movie based on the real life of Eugene Allen, who served as a butler in the White House for over 30 years, from the 1950′s through the 80′s. Forest Whitaker plays “Cecil Gaines,” Allen’s fictional counterpart, while Oprah (Oprah!) plays his wife.

Oprah Winfrey chose to revitalize her acting career by taking a role in Lee Daniels’ The Butler, and now the former talk show host has tweeting some new images of her return.

The Butler centers around Eugene Allen, a butler who worked at the White House from 1952 to 1986, serving under eight presidents. The movie is based on an article written about Eugene’s life story by Wil Haygood. Allen started working at the White House at a time when black people were still discriminated against. | Full Story

Director Lee Daniels has teamed up with Hugh Jackman to make a new Martin Luther King Jr. assassination film which will reportedly take on an “unconventional view of King’s murder.” Meaning that the movie will explore the possibility of King’s murder being a conspiracy.

According to LA Times, The film titled, Orders To Kill, will tell an alternative version of the MLK shooting.

The film will tell the story of William Pepper (Jackman), a controversial attorney and activist who for decades has argued that convicted killer James Earl Ray, who recanted his confession and died arguing his innocence, didn’t shoot MLK. | Full Story

Lee Daniels’ The Paperboy has received its U.S. theaters release date.

The film is a thriller set in 1969, and is based on the story of a young man who go back to his little hometown in Florida to help his brother, who is a reporter,  learn the truth about a might-be-innocenct man on death row. In the process of working, he develops an attraction for the convict’s lover. As a result, conflict, danger, lying, seduction and betrayal follows. | Full Story

David Oyelowo joins the cast of Steven Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln‘ He will play the role of calvalryman. Oyelowo is a busy man these days, agreeing to do the Spielberg project while currently shooting the Christopher McQuarrie directed ‘One Shot‘ starring Tom Cruise. Oyelowo plays the lead detective investigating a sniper massacre in Pittsburgh.

In addition, Oyelowo just wrapped Lee Daniels’s ‘Paperboy‘ and will be seen next starring in George Lucas ‘Red Tails,’ a drama about a group of African Americans pilots called the Tuskegee airmen, whom has to fight home grown racism in order to fight for their country during WWII. | Full Story

Nicole Kidman in Talks to Join Lee Daniels’ ‘Paperboy’

Trouble with Lee Daniels ‘Paperboy’ after Tobey Maguire dropped out of the project it set the production in a downward spiral. Because Maquire dropped out it pushed the shoot date back wich then conflicted with Sofia Vergara Modern Family shooting schedule, prompting her to drop out. Production is moving quickly to fill those empty roles. Nicole Kidman is in talks to join Paperboy to fill the shoes of Vergara.
