Sony Pictures Debut 'Sparkle' Trailer Starring The Late Whitney Houston

Sony Pictures just released the trailer to the long awaited Motown movie Sparkle. The film is based on the iconic female singing group ‘The Supremes’, which began as three sisters who start out singing in a local church and have dreams of great succecss in the Motown music industry.

Sadly, this will be the last on-screen performance from legendary singer Whitney Houston, who struggled with a cocaine addiction during her long career.  Houston died in February after her battle with drug abuse. | Full Story

Whitney Houston Joins Sparkle

It’s confirmed! Sony reports Whitney Houston is in talks to star in ‘Sparkle’, a remake of the 1976 music drama. The last time we saw Houston on the silver screen was in Penny Marshall’s ‘The Preacher’s Wife’.  Houston has been shrouded in a smoke of controversy for the past decade that dealt with drugs, divorce and other behavioral issues.
