Jane Fonda just signed on as the star and an executive producer for a new ABC pilot. The Wrap tells us she’s shifting gears after being in HBO’s drama, The Newsroom, and will star in the new primetime comedy, Now What. 

The comedy centers on an adult mother-daughter relationship. Fonda plays an estranged mother whose daughter finally confronts her about her past parenting mistakes. In response, Fonda moves in with her daughter and won’t leave until they settle their differences. The new show is currently in development. | Full Story

Oprah Winfrey chose to revitalize her acting career by taking a role in Lee Daniels’ The Butler, and now the former talk show host has tweeting some new images of her return.

The Butler centers around Eugene Allen, a butler who worked at the White House from 1952 to 1986, serving under eight presidents. The movie is based on an article written about Eugene’s life story by Wil Haygood. Allen started working at the White House at a time when black people were still discriminated against. | Full Story

Jane Fonda Will Play Nancy Reagan In ‘The Bulter’

Legendary actress Jane Fonda is in talks to play Nancy Reagan in the upcoming movie The Butler.

According to multiple sources, director Lee Daniels has asked Fonda to play the former First Lady of the United States and she accepted, but no official deal has been made as of yet.

The Butler story follows Eugene Allen, an African-American butler who worked at the White House from 1952 to 1986, serving under a total of eight presidents. | Full Story
