After Earth, staring Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith opens in theaters June 7th, 2013, and so far Sony Pictures has released two trailers to promote the film. After watching both trailers we have captured ten moments that may require a second look, and also suggest that After Earth is going to be a must see movie.

Sony Pictures has tweeted a new poster for After Earth, which repeats the movie’s tagline, “Danger is Real, Fear is a Choice.” Which is completely and utterly untrue, and quite annoying. But whatever. The promotion for the film continues (wisely) to downplay the fact that M. Night Shyamalan is directing, and instead focuses on father and son stars Will and Jaden Smith.

Will Smith along with his son Jaden begins their campaign for  latest Sci-Fi adventure ‘After Earth’.

Sony is using a clever marketing strategy to attract an After Earth fan base. The studio is using a Facebook timeline in a new viral video to describe a sequence of events that lead to the post apocalyptic future which  serves as After Earth’s backdrop.

It’s very similar to the strategy  20th Century Fox employed to generate attention for its Alien prequel Prometheus. | Full Story

M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming sci-fi project, ’One Thousand A.E.’, starring Jaden and Will Smith,  has been retitled ‘After Earth’.

“The Happening” film maker revealed the news via Twitter and also re-confirmed previous reports that principal photography on ‘After Earth’ is set to begin by February 2012.

As with most of Shyamalan’s films, moviegoers should expect excellent visual structure since most critics would agree the director definitely has an aptitude  for shot composition and spectacular cinematography. | Full Story
