The brand new movie poster to the popular novel turned movie Catching Fire has been released.

The Catching Fire poster displays Jennifer Lawrence, who portrays Katniss Everdeen, as she poses next to her co-star Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta Mellark, both wearing white-silverish clothing and standing with a stern look on their faces.

The poster was created to help celebrate the duo’s victory in the 74th Hunger Games, which was shown in the first film. | Full Story

Elizabeth Banks To Take ‘Walk of Shame’

Elizabeth Banks was recently cast as a lead in the new comedy Walk of Shame from director Stephen Brill. Variety tells us the comedy focuses on Bank’s character, a rising anchorwoman who interviews for her dream job. Banks believes she didn’t get the part and drowns her frustration in alcohol. She wakes up the next morning hungover in a strangers bed with no recollection of the night before. She also has a voice-mail from her agent revealing that she actually did get the gig and needs to report to work by 5pm. | Full Story

As seen on Deadline.com, the networks newest original idea is a show entitled Opposite Worlds , where contestants will compete to be part of “the future” or “the past”. ABC Family Acquires ‘Hunger Games’ TV Rights

ABC Family is hoping to cash in on the success that the record-setting Hunger Games franchise is having. Over the weekend, the company has acquired the after rights to the Lionsgate film.

The movie just claimed the third highest-grossing opening weekend of all time, which just opened with $155 million at the North American box office($216 World Wide) this past weekend.

“This tremendous opening weekend reinforces what we have already learned — a powerful heroine, themes of romance and iconic characters will keenly resonate with our Millennial audience,” says ABC Family president Michael Riley. | Full Story

Studios hold very little back when going after the much coveted and super expensive Super Bowl advertising slots.  This year seemed to be no different as Hollywood dished out a gargantuan amount of cash to highlight upcoming projects to the 100 million viewers watching Super Bowl commercials on Sunday.
