Terry Crews has joined the cast of the new Aaron Sorkin HBO drama The Newsroom.

According to reports, the Everybody Hates Chris actor has been cast in a recurring role as a “bodyguard and unofficial life coach,” for  Jeff Daniels’ character.

The Newsroom has just been renewed for a second season, but whether Crews will return to the show next year is unknown.

In the series, Daniels stars as news anchor Will McAvoy, who takes a forced-upon leave of absence after a public rant against the USA during a political debate. | Full Story
