Star Wars creator, George Lucas has confirmed the original trifecta that captured the hearts and minds of sci-fi geeks the globe round, will reprise their iconic roles in the upcoming film Star Wars: Episode VII.

Lucas made the announcement to Bloomberg Businessweek, stating Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher were all signed for the new Episode VII, even before Disney purchased Lucasfilm’s for $4 billion in December.

“We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison — or were pretty much in the final stages of negotiation,” Lucas said. | Full Story

Carrie Fisher Teases Return To ‘Star Wars’

Carrie Fisher aka Princess Leia recently revealed that she’s game to appear in the newest J.J. Abram’s helmed Star Wars installment.

Both Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo respectively, have also implied their return to the newest franchise. It’s only fitting that Leia complete the original trifecta that stole the hearts of nerds everywhere in 1977.

Already gearing up for his return as Hans Solo in the upcoming Star Wars  film, Harrison Ford has been cast as a well-known newscaster in the upcoming sequel Anchorman 2.

Ford will be playing the legendary Tom Brokaw, in the Will Ferrell led comedy. Perhaps his previous role as an anchorman in the 2010 Morning Glory will help with the preparation. Shooting for the comedy will begin this month in Atlanta. | Full Story

Jackie Robinson, darling of elementary school history curriculums everywhere, is now getting his own big Hollywood biopic. Or rather, his third big Hollywood biopic, after 1950′s The Jackie Robinson Story and 1996′s Soul of the Game. Now, Warner Bros. has released a trailer for the movie online.

The movie follows Robinson, played here by Chadwick Boseman, as he struggles to gain acceptance after breaking Major League Baseball’s color line when he’s signed to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers. | Full Story

Legendary Pictures has released the new trailer for 42, the upcoming Jackie Robinson biopic. 42 tells Robinson’s story, as the first black man to play in the major leagues.

Clint Eastwood Talks Possibility Of Directing ‘The Expendables 3′

Sylvester Stallone is on the hunt to get every older Hollywood heros for his Expendables franchise. The latest stars Sly has tried to recruit are Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood.

In a recent interview, Expendables producer Avi Lerner mentioned that The Expendables 3 film would definitely have a spot for Dirty Harry if he’s willing to join.
