Originally, it was only meant to be presented for those lucky con-goers, but now, Warner Bros has graciously released it online for the whole world to see. Have a looksy. I think it sells the movie even better than any of the trailers up til now.

New Posters for ‘Pacific Rim’

The promo materials keep rolling in for Guillermo del Toro’s giant-robots-versus-giant-monsters blockbuster, and each one only stokes my expectations. Stokes me like a bro. The latest release is a batch of new posters for the film, courtesy of THR.

One of the posters is a classic-style recruitment throwback. Another shows the film’s central giant robot (a “Jaeger”) kneeling over a human. And the other two introduce two other Jaegers, one from Japan and another from Russia. | Full Story

‘Beauty And The Beast’ – Yet Another Live Action Fairy Tale In The Works

Trance scribe, Joe Ahearne, has signed on to write a live adaptation of Disney’s classic fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast. Ahearne is a brave man to continue with this project, considering legendary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro also has a live action Beauty and the Beast in the works, with none other than Emma Watson attached to star.

Ahearne recently helped write  Danny Boyle’s Trance, an action film starring James MacAvoy and Vincent Cassel. | Full Story

‘Pacific Rim’ Has New Photos and First Reactions

Last Saturday in Burbank, while most people were buzzing about the Super Bowl, a small, select group got to experience something way cooler. They were the audience for the first test screening of Pacific Rim, Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming movie of giant robots, giant monsters, and giant robots fighting giant monsters. Reactions to the screening have been collected on a fan website for the film. Pacific Rim marks Guillermo del Toro‘s first return to the director’s chair since Hellboy II: The Golden Army in 2008. But don’t let that fool you. Hot Trailer: ‘Pacific Rim’ Ends the Apocalypse

Last night, the heavily anticipated trailer for Pacific Rim debuted on iTunes, making it the first real evidence of the film’s existence other than a teaser and few scrappy images. After watching the two and a half minute clip, it is safe to say it’s been well worth the wait.

Deadline has confirmed the next planned project for one of the busiest men working in Hollywood today, Guillermo del Toro. While his latest projects have been action, sci-fi and drama oriented, the director’s next project will be a bit more terrifying.

Guillermo del Toro’s next project will be Crimson Peak, an “old school” ghost story expected to begin shooting in early 2014. While that may seem an unacceptable distance away, it’s important to remember the director is still working relentlessly on Pacific Rim, a Halo-like sci-fi epic. | Full Story

Guillermo del Toro Talks ‘Pacific Rim’ and Four Year Hiatus

Unfortunately, it’s been about four years since we’ve seen Guillermo del Toro direct a film. In a recent interview with Huffington Post, the famed director opened up about his own excitement in returning to what he does best with Pacific Rim, due out in 2013.

Although he hasn’t been directing, Guillermo del Toro has certainly been keeping busy. He’s produced several projects, including this year’s Rise of the Guardians and next year’s anticipated thriller Mama. | Full Story

‘Mama’ Trailer Released

The new Spanish trailer for Guillermo Del Toro’s Mama has been released. This horror flick stars Jessica Chastain (The Help) as Annabel and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) as Lucas.  Chastain and Coster-Waldau play a young couple receive custody of Lucas’s nieces after they are found alone in the woods, where they have been living as feral children for 5 years. The couple tries to assimilate the young girls into society, however soon find out they weren’t really living alone. | Full Story

‘Hellboy 3′ Anyone?

Guillermo Del Toro has recently revealed that he wants to make a third Hellboy franchise film.

The director gain his inspiration by Ron Perlman’s recent in-character visit to the Make A Wish Foundation. During the visit held by the charity for two young Hellboy fans, Perlman dressed in full costume in order to make the kids dreams of meeting the comic-book character come true. This is what sparked Del Toro to want to make a third installment of the film: The love for the character that still exists among the younger fan base. | Full Story
