Millenium’s Playing For Keeps had a horrible opening weekend. The dramedy opened on 2,837 theaters, but hardly anyone was interested in seeing the ’300′ star driving around a soccer van. Playing for Keeps was this weekend’s only new wide release, but it flopped, making only $6 million at the box office.

After a very chaotic pre-production phase Motor City, starring Gerard Butler, has succumbed to its own dysfunction. In a report from DeadlineHollywood, production came to an abrupt end and the crew was told to go home.

Emmett/Furla Film insiders told Deadline that Motor City stalled after its producers were unable to meet a due date set by Warner Bros. Production was set to begin next month on the 17th, meaning that the film would only have 12 weeks of post-production. | Full Story

Lindsay Lohan Wants To Co-Star Alongside Gerard Butler In ‘Liz and Dick’

Lindsay Lohan has mentioned that she would like it if Gerard Butler was cast opposite her in the Lifetime movie Liz and Dick. The upcoming film is a biopic based on Elizabeth Taylor’s crazy relationship with Richard Burton, who Taylor married twice.

“He actually does remind me of [Burton] a lot,” said Lohan, when Butler’s name was floated during an interview with Access Hollywood last night. But she isn’t so sure that the actor would agree to participate in the television film. | Full Story
