Gabourey Sidibe will spend no time in the unemployment line when her run on Showtime’s The Big C ends with its final season next month.

Showrunner Ryan Murphy announced via Twitter the Oscar nominee (Precious) has joined the third season of the FX anthology series American Horror Story, tweeting,  “Thrilled to announce Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe is joining the cast of ‘American Horror Story: Coven.’”

Coincidently …or not, Murphy made the announcement on the same day the the cancer dramedy debuted the first of the final four episodes. | Full Story

The official trailer for Yelling To The Sky, starring Zoë Kravitz and Gabourey Sidibe has recently hit the internet. Kravitz’ mother, actress Lisa Bonet, along with her musician/actor father, Lenny Kravitz, must be really pround of her. Judging by the trailer, Zoe looks to have done a good job on the film. Sometimes it’s difficult to make a definitive statement about a film just by watching a trailer online, but between the story plot and the featured actors it shows some promise. | Full Story

Yesterday, Angela Bassett announced on her Facebook that she joined Gabby Sidibe in the upcoming Greg Araki directed film, White Bird In A Blizzard.

The actress posted:

“Filming the new Gregg Araki movie today with Gabby Sidibe, very excited!”

White Bird In A Blizzard is an upcoming feature which is based on a novel of the same name by Laura Kasischke. The film will tell the story of a troubled young woman whose life changes following the strange disappearance of her mother. | Full Story
