Helena Bonham Carter To Play Elizabeth Taylor In BBC Biopic

Yes, you read that right, Helena Bonham Carter is following in Lindsay Lohan’s footsteps to play Elizabeth Taylor. And no, it’s not going to be some dark and quirky interpretation directed by Tim Burton.

However, there IS another Burton involved. The BBC biopic will follow Liz Taylor and her tumultuous relationship with husband Richard Burton. Burton will be played by The Wire’s Dominic West. William Ivory is busy writing the BBC Drama Productions project and Richard Laxton is on board to direct. According to The Wrap, Burton and Taylor will focus on the story of the the pair’s  ill-fated appearance in a 1983 revival of Noel Coward’s stage play, Private Lives. | Full Story

Lindsay Lohan is gearing up for her on screen performance as Elizabeth Taylor. The young actress has completed a week of rehearsals for Lifetime’s movie Liz & Dick, which will begin shooting on Monday in Los Angeles.

“She is more than ready,” says the executive producer of the film, Larry Thompson. “All her clothes are made. All her jewelry is made. Come Monday morning, Liz and Dick will live again.”

Lindsay Lohan Confirmed For Elizabeth Taylor Lifetime Biopic ‘Liz and Dick’

Lindsay Lohan may be on her way to getting her career back on track after solidifying a role as Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime biopic about the legendary actress, titled Liz and Dick.

In her first major leading role since the 2009 ABC Family movie Labor Pains,  Lohan will portray Taylor during the time she was involved in a  tumultuous romance with actor Richard Burton.
