Just when you thought Anchorman: The Legend Continues couldn’t get any better, Kristen Wiig joins the mix. Anchorman’s original leading lady, Christina Applegate, tweeted last night that she is “So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for Anchorman 2.”
It was rumored that Wiig would be joining the cast, as Who Got The Role reported back in December. Per Deadline.com, her role was officially confirmed last night by co-star Applegate, as well as an insider at Paramount. | Full Story
The Wayans a have a great ability to make successful comedy films. From their 80′s hit I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, to their spoof Scary Movie, they always find a way to make their audience laugh. In a couple months, another comedy film will come out of the Wayans’ camp. The movie is titled, A Haunted House, which is a horror-comedy spoof, officially being produced by Marlon Wayans. | Full Story
Anchorman 2 has been given the go-ahead, according to an announcement made by Will Ferrell himself on last night’s edition of ‘Conan’.
While appearing in character and playing a jazz flute, Ferrell broke the news about the long-awaited Anchorman sequel getting the green light:
“As of oh-nine-hundred hours Mountain Time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel for ‘Anchorman.’ It is official: There will be a sequel to ‘Anchorman.’”
