In the sequel to 2010′s Kick-Ass, Faison’s Dr. Gravity will be joining other returning stars Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Nicolas Cage and John Leguizamo.

A few weeks ago, rumors hit the internet of Jim Carrey possibly joining the cast of Kick Ass 2: Balls to the Wall. Now, it seems as though all the talk may come into fruition.
Although not officially confirmed by the studio, director Jeff Wadlow posted a tweet hinting that he has “officially” cast Carrey for a role in Kick Ass 2. After months of uncertainty whether Kick Ass 2: Balls To The Wall was every going to go into production, Deadline has just revealed that universal has stepped in to finance the film.
The big question was surrounded around if the original cast will be returning for the second edition. Rumors suggested that Kick Ass lead Aaron Johnson may not return and the production team has lined up possible replacements. Christopher Mintz-Plasse has been picked to play the lead of CBS’ new comedy pilot Friend Me.
The show is based on best friends Evan (Mintz-Plasse) and Rob (Nicholas Braun). The duo, who are in their 20s, move to Los Angeles from their hometown of Bloomington, Indiana to begin their new lives working at Groupon.
The actor was the first choice for the project produced by CBS. Mintz-Plasse is currently shooting a CBS Films’ comedy Get A Job where he also plays alongside Braun. | Full Story
