Chris Rock Summons Rosario Dawson For New Comedy

Chris Rock called upon Rosario Dawson to play the female lead in a new untitled romantic comedy he has in development.

Deadline broadcasts the news as a comedy to be written and directed by Rock that deals with romance and the reality of show business with a modern day New York City backdrop. Rock is reportedly working with Scott Rudin, Eli Bush and Diller Funding as producers.

Dawson has recently finished her latest performance along co-star Ryan Reynolds in Queen Of The Night, but her next big screen appearance will be reprising her role in Sin City: A Dame To Die For, which hits theaters October 4, 2013. | Full Story

Adam Sandler is back alongside Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade to provide more laughs in Grown Ups 2. New to the team will be Drew Barrymore who has previously worked opposite Sandler in films such as The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates.

Take a look below at the first poster to come on the scene for the film.  According to IMDB, Grown Ups 2 reunites the all star comedy cast for some “more summertime laughs.” Lenny (Sandler) permanently relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends were raised.  In the previous installment, the gang attempted to have fun reviving their childhood ways, but this time around, the Grown Ups are “learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school.”

Comedian/actor Chris Rock has recently confessed that he is working on a new CB4 movie. While Rock was doing a recent press tour interview with Sway, for 2 Days In New York, he mentioned that he and Nelson George have been discussing making a CB4 sequel. “There may be a new CB4,” Rock said. “We’re kicking around some ideas, yes… me and Nelson have been talking about CB4.” George partially wrote the first edition. | Full Story

Comedy Central Orders Pilot For Chris Rock Produced Sketched Comedy Webseries

Comedian Chris Rock has been doing his part by giving back to the youth and it seems to have paid off.

Chris Rock has been executive producing a youtube based sketch comedy show entitled D-Raw. The series features young comedian Deshawn Raw and his boys from Rancho Cucamonga performing their version of a rap battle.

The sketched comedy show, acquiring 13.5 million views on youtube, managed to get the attention of Comedy Central executives. | Full Story

The French film Intouchables is now in the hands of The Weinstein Company and Harvey Weinstein uncovered his plans to remake the movie an Englishversion. The film, which stars Omar Sy and Francois Cluzet made a lot of noise on the film festival circuit, acquiring eight nominations and five wins. Sy won a Cesar award for Best Actor beating out Jean Dujardin for The Artist. The film is about a wealthy quadriplegic who finds a new reason to live thanks to a vibrant caretaker. | Full Story

2 Days In New York continues to follow the worrisome and disorganized Marion, who moved from Paris to Manhattan. Chris Rock made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night Show to promote his new movie Madagascar 3, but only briefly talked about the movie. It all started with Rock not liking the music that the show’s band, “The Roots”, played during his entrance. He expressed his dislike and politely requested a do-over to a more soulful sound track. “The Roots” happily obliged.

Shaq has got to be the biggest person to ever wear a police uniform!

The first photos of Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Chris Rock’s upcoming Grown Ups sequel have been released. The photos of Sandler, James, Rock were interesting but it was Shaq’s flicks that stole the show. The 7′ 3″ former NBA star appeared on set in an awkward looking police uniform and a rather funny hairdo.
