I’d have thought Marvel would want to premiere this with Iron Man 3, but here it is right now: the first trailer for Thor: The Dark World. Have a looksy:

- It’s very nice to see all manner of environs as a setting for the film, after Thor, which was stuck in either greenscreenland or Arizona.

- The action in this one trailer is more exciting than pretty much anything I can remember from the first movie (which is not much). | Full Story

Right now, Iron Man 3 is hogging the superhero movie attention spotlight, but Marvel has another film coming down the pipeline, albeit later in the year. Now, there’s a poster for Thor: The Dark World. The next stage of Marvel’s Phase Two brings back Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, and, most importantly of all, Kat Dennings.

Fasten your seat belts and get ready for a wild ride. No, I’m not talking about a Disneyland ride, but the new movie Rushstarring Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl (Not to be confused with the Joseph Gordon-Levitt film, Premium Rush, which tells to story of a bike messenger in New York City.)

Michael Mann fans have waited nearly four years for another feature film from the famed director, and hope has arrived in the rather handsome form of Chris Hemsworth.

Chris Hemsworth has most recently been rumored to star in Steven Spielberg’s science-fiction film Robopocalypse, but the legendary director has since put the project on hold, freeing Hemsworth’s schedule for a few months. The genius filmmaker, Steven Spielberg, grabbed the exclusive movie rights to the best-selling book, Robopocalypse.  In Robopocalypse author Daniel H. Wilson creates a futuristic world in which artificial intelligence release a virus, ultimately leading to the planet’s network of machines to violently turn on the human race.

As of today, it looks like the Robopocalypse author will have to put his dreams on hold- or at least wait until the theatrical release hopefully by the end of  2014. | Full Story

Just yesterday some cool set photos of Thor getting a major beat down surfaced online. Now a new video of him enduring the same fate has just been revealed.

As filming continues in London this week for Thor: The Dark World, someone managed to get their cell phone past security and capture some awesome behind the scenes footage. In the video, Thor could be seen fighting Malekith and from the looks of it, Thor is not winning this fight. | Full Story

Ben Whishaw Joins Hemsworth and Hathaway in Steven Spielberg’s ‘Robopocalypse’

British actor Ben Whishaw has signed on to play  a computer hacker named Lurker in Robopocalypse. Steven Spielberg’s next sci-fi epic is shaping up nicely, having already tapped Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises) to star as the male and female leads. The film is being written by Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods), and co-produced by Dreamworks and 20th Century Fox. | Full Story
