DreamWorks Animation ‘Trolling’ For A New Franchise

DreamWorks Animation announced yesterday that it now owns the intellectual property of the famed frizzy haired, bejeweled bellybutton Troll dolls. This can only mean one thing – a franchise reboot is in the works.

While the creepy Troll dolls have long been replaced by equally (if not more) creepy toys like Furby’s, Monster High dolls, Bratz, and anything on this list, it seems as though DreamWorks hopes to pull the nostalgia card and revive the obsession. | Full Story

Finally! A Kick-Ass 2 trailer has arrived. Universal Pictures unveiled the trailer today — I mean the red band trailer and it looks like oodles of fun. From the looks of the preview clip, Kick-Ass 2 is living up to its brand. There is no shortage of cursing, a** kicking and raunchy jokes in this one, hence the age requirement to watch the trailer.

‘Carrie’ Teaser Trailer Released

The Carrie teaser trailer was finally released and it certainly leaves viewers wanting more. Carrie was adapted from a Stephen King novel of the same name. Carrie first hit the silver screen in 1976  starring Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie. Both women were nominated for Oscars after their performance, perhaps the remake will have the same luck. Bloody Teaser Poster Revealed for ‘Carrie’ Remake

The first poster has been revealed for Carrie, an upcoming remake of the horror film classic released over 30 years ago. It showcases the two things that made the original popular: blood and angst.

The poster has been released in the wake of the New York Comic-Con following the showing of a teaser trailer for the film (which has yet to surface). It features Chloe Grace Moretz covered in blood (pig’s blood maybe?) and staring at the viewer in complete contempt. | Full Story

Martin Scorsese’s mystery film has been revealed.  ’Hugo‘ is Scorsese’s first attempt at a family 3d movie. Paramount released a short movie of Hugo’s behind-the-scenes production, and some very lucky people will get to see its surprise debut tonight at the New York Film Festival.

Starring Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Michael Pitt and Chloe Grace Moretz.
